There are a few things I want to chat about. First, when I had my babies I did partially nurse them in the beginning. And it was SO AKWARD in public … or around my brother-in-laws (teenagers). And I would balance a blanket over my shoulder and try to make it work. But it just didn’t work out.
So a couple of years later and I am now managing the Mom Buzz – a site that buzzes and reviews wonderful items that you MUST have and learn about. My sister-in-law had a baby and she is nursing him. And do you know what she uses when she nurses in public (NIP)? A blanket!
No, no, no! The Mom Buzz cannot allow that! Do not hide those baby blue eyes and cute cheeks under a blanket! There are NURSING COVERS you can use! So, that’s why I delivered the Bebe au Lait Nursing Cover to her 2 weeks ago. The design was Papillon, if you are curious. Papillon is a pale cream color with a vibrant purple Asian-inspired floral pattern. My sister-in-law likes red, and this was pretty close. And her hubby and her both like Asian motifs – so I thought she would like it.
Now, this is why I wanted her to have a Bebe au Lait Nursing Cover. I didn’t want the baby to be smothered by the blanket when nursing during the summer. And I wanted her to have eye-contact with my nephew when nursing. I know I always loved gazing at my kids when they were on the boob. (Classy use of language, Erin).
Well, the rigid neckline of the Bebe Au Lait nursing cover allows for air to circulate and she can peek at him, he can peek at her, but no one else can get in on this peek show.
Here is what she thought.
“I like that it’s not hard to be discreet. Before I had to worry about the blanket sliding off or the baby pulling it off. Now, I can feed him anywhere and not worry that someone else gets the same view as him!”
Awesome, eh? And the thing is, using a nursing cover is NOT sending a bad message. I swear, I’ve read that on forums, that using nursing covers means you are ashamed of breastfeeding. No! It’s just some moms are simply more bashful or conservative. And if it takes a nursing cover to make you feel comfortable NIP, then go for it!
In fact, a mom at my MomsClub uses one all the time and she is so comfortable with it!
Now, why should you choose a nursing cover from Bebe Au Lait?
